If you remember Valentino’s spring 2016 collection, the brand sent bags with African detailing down the runway. The bags were elaborate and ornate, and for fall 2016 the accessories follow suit, but this time with a much different theme in mind.
Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli wanted to nature motifs for fall’s bags. You’ll also notice new bag shapes from the brand, like saddle bags and small crossbody bags, as well as bags that are heavily embellished with metals, fringe and embroidery. also popular this season are embellished bag straps, which are a developing trend all over the industry. While many of these straps are sold separately, some of the brand’s bags already feature a coordinating guitar-style bag strap with these new fall bags.
